Two creations, one shared breath

With Amin and Mussum, we are working on choreographies pushed to the point of rupture, to that breath torn from the body, where the body finds a way to keep going. We want a dance that moves through different states, inviting the audience into a powerful sensory experience and transforming the stage into a shared space. To carry this experience, we have brought together a team of French-Moroccan dancers, women and men, curious, sensitive, capable of embodying a gesture rather than simply reproducing it, with personality, singularity, an intimate relationship to movement and a high level of technical skill.

To accompany them on stage, we invited two musicians whose exchange deeply nourishes the piece: Patrick De Oliveira and Nabil Sansi. Patrick, a composer and long-standing collaborator, sculpts an organic sound material where sound becomes texture, breath and vibration. His writing explores silences, grains and tensions, a sensitive territory between the raw and the sacred. In dialogue with him, Nabil Sansi brings the Gnawa pulse: an ancestral, continuous rhythm, like the heartbeat of a world. Each note of the guembri, each strike, each vibration of his voice circulates, travels through the space and anchors the movement.

Their collaboration does not simply accompany the dance. It serves the intention of the piece, opening an intimate space where the sacred enters into dialogue, settles and transforms. Together, they give the piece its rhythm, shape its atmosphere and guide the bodies towards a movement born as much from sound as from breath. Together, they weave a music that draws us into Amin and Mussum, into the heart of the rhythm that lifts and propels the bodies.
