Free yourself from the rules, imagine your own and feel the movement!
Having Fun addresses the notions of fun and pleasure. How can one immerse oneself in a state of maximum concentration while letting go, relaxing?
The four performers appropriate the stage space or the “game” space, creating a link, perceptible or not, with the public. This space allows them to demonstrate their strength, to reveal their emotions, while pushing them out of their comfort zone. As a group or individually, they take pleasure in doing and being. The dancers express themselves around a pulsating energy and music that leads them to a dance that advocates physicality and the power of bodies.
What sensations and feelings will they generate in the audience?
Choreographed by Jérôme Oussou and commissioned by the CCNR, Having Fun is at the heart of the Terre de danse program (2023/2024), which aims to promote choreographic creation in the South of the Ain.
Jérôme started dancing at the age of 18 with self-taught Bboying. He then gradually opened up to other dance styles, hip-hop, house and contemporary. He approaches dance in a very musical way. His curiosity naturally led him to a versatile dance. Raw, energetic and soft at the same time, Jérôme has built his own universe. In 2018, he joined the Compagnie Relevant, an associate artist of the CCNR since January 2022. He also works with other companies in the Lyon region and elsewhere.
