A play for 10 young performers, LANDFALL responds to the desire for a “great form”, to continue exploring in dance the sap of the intimate, but at the friction of a group and the multiple compositions and recompositions that it can create. The group like an organic entity in motion, which unites, opens up, breaks up and rediscovers itself, integrates or rejects the bodies that form it.
Ten individuals who do not seek unison, but rather the dynamic co-existence of energies and sensitivities. In them, there is passion to spare or rather to give away. It springs in spontaneous, animal impulses, full of an overflowing vitality. There is something gently subversive in this fiery energy that connects, bounces from one to the other.
LANDFALL is a playground driven by passion.
The process will ensure to make the respective reality of each of the performers the work itself, by presenting unstable portraits, appearing and disappearing according to the circumstances. A work tinged with a poetic humor, which plays on the tensions between dance and words and on the drifts of meanings that allows a mesh between one mode of expression to the other.
Moreover, the "score" of LANDFALL is based on variations around the notion of urgency. This state of alertness and watchfulness is likely to shape reflexes, impulses that can carry the body to a physicality of instinct. This urgency to be and to act, which seals the stakes of the community gathered here, puts on the stage a choir on the look-out... What is happening? What passes from one to the other? Transmission of gestures, of motives, which composes a continuity of relays. A poetry of the living relation which echoes with what the community of the ten performers put at stake.
