Echos infinis – revisited is an in-depth exploration of the loop and perpetual motion machines. The two dancers and choreographers seek to push the boundaries of their work by revisiting concepts of physical constraint, integrating unexplored elements and enriching the dramaturgy and music to offer a more complete and accessible work, while remaining true to their roots in Hip Hop dance.
A new stage in our choreographic journey, based on the experience gained from our previous projects, Patchwork and Echos Infinis. This project aims to deepen and develop the concepts explored previously, focusing on the loop, physical constraint and the influence of perpetual motion machines.
The loop remains at the heart of our exploration. We are fascinated by its presence, whether in movement or in everyday life, and by the way it translates into repetitive behaviors and thoughts. Loops evoke universal experiences. These elements will be more deeply integrated in this new version. We will continue to draw inspiration from perpetual motion machines. These hypothetical machines, meant to run indefinitely without an external power source, remind us of our own infinite quest to create the ideal work. They symbolize the transfer, storage and consumption of energy, while questioning the relationship between the loop and the external environment…
